Great show today!

We had an excellent show today. We were originally scheduled to have Larry Battson on but he backed out at the last minute for a silly reason so I thankfully got Billy Willard of Sasquatch Watch Virginia as the guest. Billy related some very interesting stories, and Richie called from California to let us know the recent goings-on in his area. I reverted back to the questions I used to ask all my guests that I hadn't been using for awhile, and that lead to some interesting discussion. I will now start using my guest questions again. I was also the guest on Henry's show HBM's Crypto-Corner, and I had fun actually being the interviewee for once instead of the interviewer. I also have ten more copies of my book coming in the mail to anyone who wants them.

Good Show on Sunday

We had a really good show on Sunday. Eric Altman, director of the Pennsylvania Bigfoot Society, was the guest, and he told some really interesting stories. Richie from California also called in and told us what was going on in his area, and we also discussed the fact that Bigfoot may use railroad tracks and power lines as a means of travel. I donated a signed copy of the book that everyone wants to read but no one wants to buy to the East Coast Bigfoot Conference.

Show Format Has Changed

The show will now be on every two weeks instead of weekly. This is due to show content and things going on in my personal life.

Good Show Last Sunday

We had a good but not great show last Sunday. Henry and I shot the breeze about various Bigfoot topics and Rich from California called in to talk about some recent stuff that's been going on in his area, and I gave him an assignment concerning leaving fruit out for the creatures in his area. This Sunday we will have Eric Alman, of the Pennyslvania Bigfoot Society as the guest. Thanks for listening.

An Announcement

Hello Everyone,
I have been doing alot of thinking and reevaluating of things going on in my life concerning the show. Unless things change with the show October 19 will be the last show. Whether this will be permanent or an indefinite hiatus I have not decided yet. Several factors have led me to this point. #1. The problem with guests. In the past month I have asked 20 different people to be guests on the show, and they were either A. unavailable, or so they tell me, B. they have already been on every other show and don't want to come onto The Bigfoot Mystery to talk about what they have already talked about on those other shows, or C. they have a problem with one of my co-hosts, a very silly reason in my opinion. I do not like to rehash old material on the show and have alot of dead air time. #2 I feel that The Bigfoot Mystery has covered every topic you could think of concerning Bigfoot, and I feel we are running out of things to talk about on the show. #3 There are over a dozen Bigfoot shows alone on blogtalk radio. I counted them. I feel I am now competing with them, and I don't like to compete with anyone. Perhaps The Bigfoot Mystery has run its course. #4 the listener base. I have noticed on all the other shows that the chatroom listeners has exceeded 50, when The Bigfoot Mystery has yet to reach 45. I have done everything in my power to promote the show, and despite what the ratings on blogtalk say I should have more listeners than I do now. Whether it's content of the show, its scheduled airtime, dislike of myself or my co-hosts, or some other factor I do not know. #5 Harrassing and insulting e-mails concerning the show. Every show host probably goes through this. I have had one listener contact me several times this week insulting myself and the show, and no matter what I tell them they keep doing it. It is getting tiresome. You can educate ignorance, but stupidity is forever. That particular listener falls into the latter in that phrase. #6 losing interest in doing the show. At first when I started the show I had a lot of fun doing it. Now I feel it is something I have to do, and when it's not fun anymore to do, then it is time to look at it differently. I'm not even asked to be a guest on any of the other shows, despite having my own encounter and publishing a book about it, but I do thank HenryMay for having me on as a guest in October on his show. I have never done anything to personally hurt anyone or said anything negative about anyone. If you are one of those who thinks I have, then I deeply apologize. I also think a big thank you needs to go out to Henry May. Henry has been there for the show no matter what and has busted his butt for The Bigfoot Mystery. I do think appreciation for everything Henry has done has been overlooked and he has been treated unjustly in some corners of the Bigfoot "community". If there was something I could have done to rectify that for him I would have done it a long time ago. If I can find someway to reward Henry I will do it. Thank you so much, Henry. Some who read this may not agree with its content, and that is fine. It is how I feel. If some out there feel I'm complaining or whining, then so be it. I don't feel I am, though. If there are those out there who'd like to see The Bigfoot Mystery continue, then I needyour help, whether it's suggestions, putting me in contact with potential guests, or even being a guest yourself on the show, then I welcome them all. Thank you for listening.

Future of the show

I am not sure whether or not to continue on with the show. I seem to be running out of things to talk about. It seems like I've covered almost every subject concerning Bigfoot on the show. I feel I'm rehashing old material by talking about the same things over and over again. I have tried to get guests to be on the show who have not been on the show yet, but they're either unavailable, have already been on a few other shows and don't want to do anymore, or refuse to come on the show because they have an issue with one of my co-hosts, which is a very silly reason if you think about it. Perhaps this show has run its course. I'd like to think it hasn't. I will try to maintain some hope for this month and see what happens. Thanks for listening.

Good Show on Sunday

We had a good show on Sunday for it being a call-in show. Eric Altman called the show to plug the 2008 East Coast Bigfoot Conference and to tell me he liked my book. Steve Summar (Ole Bub) called into the show and stayed on with us and we had some interesting discussions. Henry did book reviews on The Hoopa Project and on my book.

Thoughts on the whole Georgia body debacle

I just thought I'd post some of my thoughts on the whole Georgia Bigfoot body debacle. I had such high hopes for this situation. I thought, " This is it! We've waited almost 50 years for this!" And then I saw the picture of the body in the freezer. Then I thought, "Oh, come on!" It didn't look like the Bigfoot I saw back in 1991. I was sitting on the fence with this whole thing but leaning towards it being all a hoax. After today my fears were confirmed. It is a hoax. Always has been. I don't believe there even was a body to begin with. This not only makes all the other, more legitimate researchers look like idiots in the public eye, but it may hurt Bigfoot research for a long while. We as researchers were already questionable in the public eye; now this comes out- and it's the talk of every news agency all across the country- and any credibility we had is probably gone now. I hope I'm wrong. But I will keep trudging on. Thanks for listening.

Sad News During The Show

For those of you who listened to my show live today and in the archives, during the last 15 minutes of the show I got news that my roommate had passed away, and that's why I abruptly left the show for a bit. Please send your prayers to his family. Thank you.

Great show today!

We had a terrific show today. Henry and I were joined by Janice, Bobbie Short, Bear, Steve Summar, and Randy from Canada. We talked about the whole Georgia fiasco and then we moved on to other Bigfoot related subjects. Steve said an excellent statement about the whole Georgia body thing. I wanted to not touch the subject but it was the talk of the Bigfoot community and there was really no way to avoid it. I tried not to spend too much time on it, as a few people left the chatroom because of it, but there was no real way to avoid it. Thanks for listening.

Great show today!

We had a terrific show today, with Pat Rance, Jim (Dixie Banshee), and Coonbo. Rich from California even called the show and gave us a report on the Bigfoot Discovery Days he attended, where he got to meet Bob Gimlin! My book is now finalized (I think) and I hope more people will buy it.

Excellent show on Sunday!

We had a great show on Sunday with Pat Rance, Jim (Dixie Banshee), and their friend Coonbo. They all shared some great stories. They will be returning this weekend. Thanks for listening.

Great show today!

We had a terrific show today with Pat Rance and Jim (Dixie Banshee) as the guests. They will be returning next week for a part two of our talk with them.

My book is now available!

As promised, my non fiction book, "Bigfoot and I: A Personal Journey into the World of Sasquatch", is now available on lulu.com. It's 94 pages and $14.26. A lot of my listeners have been waiting for this book and now it's available. Here's the link to the book:

Great show today!

We had a great show today. Marc Footery returned as the guest and told more of his amazing stories. Aside from a slight problem in the chat room that forced me to ban someone for the day the show went pretty well. I read part of my fiction book "Through the Eyes of the Skookum"on the show today. I got the impression that some people didn't like it. Someone even told me not to quit my day job. I happen to be really good at writing. But you know what? That doesn't matter to me because everyone's reading tastes are slightly different, and this book may not be for you. I'm writing it because I want to write it. What's the saying? Don't knock it until you've tried it? Anyway, next week we will have both Pat Rance and Jim (Dixie Banshee) on the show. Thanks for listening.

Great show on Sunday!

We had a terrific show on Sunday. Both Randy from Canada and Rich from California were on, and the levels of discussion and conversation were probably unparalleled in my opinion from some of the stuff that's been on some other recent shows. I will have them on in the future. Thanks for listening.

Monday, July 7, 2008

Great show yesterday!

Yesterday's show was a great show. Marc Footery was the guest and he told some excellent stories. I plan to have him back on in a couple of weekends. We had 99 live listeners, and so far 165 archive listeners. That's over 200 listeners total. The One-Year Anniversary show has had 404 archive listeners. That's a lot. It just shows that we are making a difference out there, opening people's minds to different ideas and different ways to research instead of just doing the "basics" over and over again, whatever the "basics" are. I owe it all to you, my co-hosts and listeners, for making it all possible. I have sent the book to the publisher. Now I just have to wait and see what happens.

Wonderful show today!!!!

We had a wonderful One Year Anniversary show today. My dad called in, as did a surprise guest: Igor Bourtsev, from Russia! He talked about his research in Russia. It was a wonderful anniversary surprise. The show ran excellent aside from a crank caller that I dealt with quickly. I was hoping to get other long time listeners to call in to give their thoughts and reflections on the show but that's okay. Maybe they will for the 2nd Anniversary show. Thank you, Janice for arranging for Igor to call the show. I will be the guest on the No-Kill Zone Friday July 4th at 5:30 pm Eastern time. I'm looking forward to it. Thanks for listening.

Great show over the weekend

We had an excellent show last Sunday, with Rich from California as the guest. He will return along with Randy from Canada on July 13, as elements of their stories are near identical, and these two have never met each other. This weekend will be the one year anniversary for the Bigfoot Mystery. Thanks for listening.

Activity in the Ravine tonight

I had activity in the ravine tonight. And this time I wasn't alone in witnessing it. My girlfriend Tracey wanted to see the deck that over looks the ravine, so we walked down to to the deck. Ahead of us in the ravine we heard movement. Whatever was moving was big and moving on two feet. Tracey's two daughters were also with us. We listened to it move and Tracey saw some branches move ahead of us. I couldn't tell how far away. Probably 100 feet or so. We whistled several times and we got a response- from another part of the ravine. There were apparently two of them. Whatever was responding to us was hooting at us in a deep voice. Tracey said she had never heard anything like it before. I unfortunately did not have my digital camera or voice recorder. I was caught completely unaware. This whole incident lasted about 20 minutes. We plan on going down to the deck Wednesday night, to see if we can repeat what happened tonight. This time I will have my equipment near by.

Great show yesterday!

We had a great show yesterday with returning guest Randy from Canada, who told more of his interesting stories. We also had a crank caller but he was dealt with in quick fashion. Henry May is now the second co-host of The Bigfoot Mystery. Henry is an asset to any show and I am honored to have him as a part of my team. I am planning something big for the year anniversary show coming up on June 29th.

Excellent show yesterday!

We had an excellent show yesterday. A gentleman named Randy from Canada was our guest and he related all his experiences to us, which are continuing to this day in an area near his home in British Columbia. He is a newcomer to the Bigfoot field, having his first experience back in 2006. He said several key things, most notably the fact that a female Sasquatch he saw had a braid in her hair and a ponytail. This is key because in M.K. Davis' analysis of the 1967 film, he found that the creature in the film had a pony tail and braid in her hair. Randy doesn't even know who M.K. Davis even is and has never heard of the things M.K. found in the 1967 film. Here we have two different people who have never met or talked who are seeing the same things, one in a 40 year old film and one in Canada who saw the same thing on a female Sasquatch in the past two years. To me this is very significant. There may be something to M.K.'s findings. Hopefully more people will be more open-minded about it. I will try to get Randy back on the show next week.

Sad news- JC on the road indefinitely with the Biscardis; searching for new co-host

I would like to inform everyone out there that JC Johnson of Four Corners Crypto will not be co-hosting with myself and Janice Carter for the time being as he is indefinitely on the road with the Biscardi team. I will miss him greatly. he helped make the show. I will be changing the show's banner soon and be searching for a replacement for JC. If anyone out there wishes to step in please feel free to contact me. Thanks for listening.

Good show today

We had a good show today. Luke Gross returned for a second part of his interview. Henry May stepped in for Janice as Janice had something she had to take care of. I am thinking about making Luke a permanent part of the show. I am done writing Chapter 12 of my book and am currently working on Chapter 13. The book is almost done.

Good show today

We had a good show today with Luke Gross as a guest. I felt we didn't have enough time so he will be the guest next week as well. Thomas Hughes (Smiter) also joined us on the show, and Janice gave us a quick rundown of the Ohio Bigfoot conference she attended. I apologize if I sounded like I was whining or something on the show today. I felt I had a legitimate complaint about the Bigfoot community and not feeling like a part of the Bigfoot brethren so to speak, since most of my listeners are out East. I would so much love to have had the fellowship and camaraderie everyone had at the Ohio conference but unfortunately that doesn't happen out here. Why I don't know. I may get fed up before too long and hold a conference myself- or throw in the towel on Bigfoot research all together. I just feel I may never meet any of you in person, and it saddens me to think that, but I'm a realist about such things. Thanks for listening.

A Complaint

Okay, now it's time for a complaint. I feel left out because I'm all they way here in Oregon and all my listeners and listeners of the other shows are all in the Midwest, South, or East Coast and are all neighbors literally. From what I understand at the Ohio conference they all got to meet each other. That doesn't happen out West that I know of. I swear all the researchers out here are either unavailable all the time or have attitude problems. Only myself, Bobbie Short, and Karen Orum were from the west coast in the chatrooms of the shows.
Over the weekend I revisited the site of my 1991 encounter. Someone should have been with me at Mineral Lake over the weekend. We found circumstantial evidence on the spot of my 1991 encounter. Only my two best friends were with me, and they have no experience at this sort of thing. I contacted several researchers who were local and near me. I got no response or disinterest in going with me. Hell, I even tried the little names too. The ones that I knew of anyway. Someone with experience should have been with me to show me what to look for. I could have missed some good evidence because I wasn't sure what I was looking for. I am all by my lonesome out here. Well, I do thank all my listeners who listen to my show.

Good show today

Well, we had a good show today despite having trouble starting the show due to Blogtalk technical problems. Janice and JC were absent so Thomas Hughes (Smiter) stepped in on the show with me and he did great. We may have upset a few people for some "tough guy" talk we were doing, but I felt we both voiced out opinions in a non-offensive manner. We are just passionate about what we do. I apologize to anyone who got offended by the talk we did. I told of my return to Mineral Lake after 17 years and Smiter told a few of his stories. Regina and Luke Gross called into the show as well. I will be posting the pics and video of Mineral Lake here on the blog. It will tell the story much more than I could with words. I watched "Keeping the Watch" by John Johnson and it was a real good documentary.

Great show today! New Co-Host! New Show Banner!

We had an excellent show today. Thomas Hughes (Smiter) was the guest, and Dave Ortiz of Four Corners Crypto filled in for JC today as JC is on the road with Tom Biscardi. Janice Carter debuted as my new second co-host and she's wonderful. I even had Luke Gross of Texas call in to tell me he recorded the exact same sounds last night in a ravine in Texas that I recorded several weeks ago in the ravine behind my house here in Oregon. Hopefully Luke will send me a copy of the sounds he recorded so I can compare them to the ones I recorded. Very significant in my opinion. I also now have a publisher for my book. Idyll Arbor Publications, who under the Pine Winds Press imprint published Valley of the Skookum and the revised Bigfoot Casebook. I am so happy. My friend also made a new banner for the show that I have now posted to this page and my blogtalk page. Thomas had interesting stories and he plans to come back on the show soon. The show is starting to take off and it will only get better.

Good show last weekend

We had a good show last weekend. For the first time in my life I got to talk to a full-blooded Native American and ask him questions about Bigfoot, a subject his people are very well versed in. Also an interesting development out where JC lives- a fresh sighting got reported to him right then and there on the show. Unfortunately due to bad weather I didn't get to go on my return trip to Mineral Lake. I am hoping to go next month.

Sunday, April 27, 2008

Today's show

I was nervous on my own show today. I always have trouble even today talking about my 1991 encounter. I felt that the show could have gone better if I wasn't so nervous. I always get nervous every time I tell my story, no matter to whom I tell it to. After 17 years it still affects me a great deal. I am hoping that my return trip to Mineral Lake this coming weekend will help me better deal with what I saw. In my opinion this wasn't one of my better shows, but I will let my listeners decide.

Sunday, April 20, 2008

Great show tonight! Robert W. Morgan was the guest!

We had a great show tonight! The legendary Robert W. Morgan was the guest. He actually volunteered to do it. He told some great stories and I felt honored that he complimented me and wants me to work with him. I will be making a return trip to the scene of my sighting at Mineral Lake, Washington State- 17 years later- on May 3rd and I will be doing a post-trip report on the show that weekend. My book is just about done. Next week I will be retelling my sighting story and JC will have some stuff for my listeners as well.

Monday, April 14, 2008

Great shows the last two weeks

We have had great shows the last week and yesterday. Bart Nunnally and John Johnson were the guests last week, and Penny Houston was the guest yesterday. I had activity in the ravine last night and I actually got some possible screams on my digital recorder. Activity is picking up here and I'll talk about it later.

Sunday, March 30, 2008

Great show tonight!

We had a great show tonight, especially in the last part of the show. Bullet Maker (Doug Bilby) was the guest, but Randy Harrington (Driveroperator) couldn't join us unfortunately. Great stories and a great caller, who related a very convincing story of having touched a baby Bigfoot that he thought was a dead gorilla. I will have Randy on on a future show. I will also have the caller who touched the baby on a future show as well. I am halfway thru writing my book. JC also may have mentioned the show on some A&E documentary so the listener base may pick up as well. Once again I thank JC for being the co-host.

Wednesday, March 26, 2008

The last couple of shows have been great

Sorry I haven't posted in the blog in awhile. I've been busy writing my book. The last couple of weeks we have had Linda Godfrey, Bullet Maker, Randy Harrington, and Tom Biscardi's son TJ on. They have all been really good shows. The show has gained a few more new listeners and it is still in the top 15 of the blogtalk paranormal shows. I just finished Nick Redfern's book "Memoirs of a Monster Hunter". It was really good. Future guests for the show may include Dr. John Bindernagel and Autumn Williams. I have my co-host JC to thank for a lot of what has been happening to the show. I hope he stays on awhile.

Sunday, March 9, 2008

Great show last week

We had a great show last week with Melissa Hovey. She had some wonderful insights on being a Bigfoot researcher. Some joker on Ebay is selling a Bigfoot expedition for $400,000. C'mon! He's an idiot. Tranquilizer gun and everything. You don't find Bigfoot; he finds you. Bigfoot will see this guy coming and take off. The guy will be charging someone 400 grand just to see some scenery. Some people.

Sunday, February 24, 2008

Great show tonight! The show is in the top 15 of the Blogtalk paranormal shows!

We had a great show tonight with Nick Redfern. He was a great guest and I will have him on again in the future. 62 live listeners! And the show is now in the top 15 of the paranormal shows on Blogtalk Radio! Wow! I never thought the show would go that far. I will have Melissa Hovey on next week, and I'm hoping JC can get me Tom Biscardi soon. This show will only get better. I have JC to thank for alot of it.

Saturday, February 16, 2008

Great Show last week; I got to talk to Robert Morgan too!

Last week we had a great show with Bullet Maker-Doug Bilby-despite some technical difficulties. He had interesting stories to tell. There were 126 live listeners last week- that's the most the show has ever had to date. My co-host JC Johnson helps make the show, and I thank him for that. He's going to try to get me Tom Biscardi for the show. On Thursday night I finally got to say hello to Robert W. Morgan- I had been waiting 20 years to say hello to him. I listened to his show and managed to get through and I was able to talk to him. He wants to meet me! Wow! He said he's going to come to The Dalles this summer (or next, I'm not sure which) and buy me a beer. He wants me to join the AARF so he can work with me one-on-one. He also said I sounded like I would fit in with the AARF. This is wonderful. I'm going to try ot get him on my show soon. Wow!!!

Sunday, February 3, 2008

Another great show

Well, we had another great show tonight. I thank JC for being my new co-host. I'm so happy the famous Melissa Hovey called into the show. Bullet Maker himself called in too, and the Incomprable Bill Green called in too. 52 live listeners. There probably would have been more live listeners if the Super Bowl wasn't on. Melissa Hovey said she'd be a guest on my show sometime soon, too. My shows just keep getting better.

Sunday, January 27, 2008

Great show tonight

I had a good show today. Wayne Ford from Georgia was my guest. I had 58 live listeners tonight! 58! Hopefully I will have more on the next show.

Sunday, January 13, 2008

Great show tonight

I had a great show tonight. It was a special 90-minute show with JC Johnson and Dave O from Four Corners Crypto. Indy was my guest co-host but his phone line cut him off but the show turned out good anyway. JC had so many stories to tell. I thoroughly enjoyed them as guests and have asked them to come back every month and they agreed to. I have posted two pics JC has sent me of a three-toed track attributed to the mysterious "dogman". These guys by far are some of my favorite guests and at one time I had 20 people in the chatroom. Hopefully my show will pick up now that I have several new listeners.
